Aik Boon Tan brings over 8 years of experience in the FinTech industry and currently serves as the Chief Business Development Officer at Thunes, a global network delivering smarter payment solutions for emerging markets. In his role, Aik Boon oversees the expansion of growth, partnerships, and markets, while also leading the development and execution of the company’s corporate strategy. Previously, he served as the President of Thunes Collection, a new business unit offering acceptance services to merchants and consumers in Africa and Asia, and as the Chief Commercial Officer, where he led the sales, marketing, and account management teams. His leadership and vision have been instrumental in driving Thunes’ growth and innovation, establishing the company as a leader in facilitating real-time movement of funds to and from emerging countries. Aik Boon Tan has a strong background in new business development, strategy, and scaling growth for start-ups. He is passionate about making financial services accessible and affordable for everyone. Aik Boon Tan has been with Thunes since 2006 and is now the Chief Commercial Officer focusing on leading the company’s global sales operations.
