W2 Global Data Announces Reduced Working Week

W2 Global Data, provider of regulatory compliance software has today announced a reduced working week for employees. After moving to remote-based working and allowing flexible working hours in 2021, the new initiative follows a number of other companies within the UK who are placing focus on employee wellbeing.

Warren Russell, CEO & Founder of W2 commented “I’m absolutely delighted to be announcing the reduced working hours benefit for our employees. It is truly a testament to the hard work and commitment of the whole team that has led to them making this decision. Our focus on the well-being of our employees and ensuring that they have the time needed to rest and relax away from the busy day-to-day working environment at W2 is a key goal of ours and this is just one of the many ways we are working towards achieving that.”

W2 ran a trial of the new working hours which includes a 1pm finish on a Friday for three months to see how motivation and productivity would be impacted. The results from the trial proved that streamlining processes and the implementation of agile working can lead to just as much, if not more output of work despite a reduction in working hours during the week.
