Vision Express Partners With Stream to Bring Workplace Finance to UK Employees

Vision Express, part of EssilorLuxottica, one of the UK’s leading optical retail chains, has announced a new partnership with Stream (formerly Wagestream), the Workplace Finance provider, to bring fair, inclusive financial tools to its employees across the UK.

As the latest addition to Vision Express’ comprehensive reward package, the partnership will provide all employees with access to Stream’s comprehensive suite of financial tools to support greater visibility over day-to-day money management and long-term financial planning.

Integrated directly into existing HR and payroll systems, the platform includes flexible access to pay, personalised education, the ability to track shifts and earnings, budget in real-time using Open Banking, save directly from their salary into an easy-access, high-interest savings account, and access affordable credit with low, competitive interest rates.

For retail employees often working variable shift patterns, these tools are especially valuable, providing greater visibility and control over finances to help better manage income volatility and plan with confidence.

Driving change in a mature sector

As a major employer in the UK retail sector, Vision Express recognises its employees as the driving force of its success. By embedding financial wellbeing into its employee offering, the company is moving beyond traditional benefits, providing practical tools designed to help build financial resilience for the future.

Dawn Price, HR Director at Vision Express, said: “Our colleagues are at the heart of Vision Express, and supporting their wellbeing is a priority for us. Financial confidence plays a vital role in overall wellbeing and we’re excited to introduce Stream’s Workplace Finance platform to offer our teams better access to practical tools that help them better understand and manage their money to work towards their financial goals.”

Peter Briffett, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Stream, said: “Workplace Finance represents a fundamental shift in how employers support their teams. By embedding fair and streamlined financial tools into the workplace, Vision Express is helping to set new benchmarks for the industry. From flexible access to earned pay through to savings, budgeting and education, this partnership will support thousands of retail workers across the UK, especially those navigating variable hours and incomes, in building stronger financial resilience.”

Stream’s Workplace Finance platform, delivered through over 2,000 brands, today supports more than four million workers globally. The Vision Express partnership marks the latest milestone in Stream’s continued growth, following the close of its $90m Series D funding round.
