TILLIT Bolsters Board With Workplace Pensions Heavyweight Daniel Meehan
TILLIT, the investment platform, has appointed Daniel Meehan as Non-Executive Director as it ramps up for its launch into workplace pensions.
Meehan has a background in workplace savings and technology, starting his career in KPMG’s pensions advisory business, later moving to Willis Towers Watson, before heading up Financial Wellbeing and Defined Contribution (DC) for London at Capita, then moving into Capita’s corporate venturing unit. He joined pension and workplace savings disruptor Cushon, as Head of Workplace Savings in 2020 where he led its foray into workplace pensions. In 2022, he joined Cushon’s leadership as Proposition & Development Director. Following NatWest’s acquisition of Cushon in 2023, Meehan joined Link Group as Growth Leader where he currently leads its growth strategy in the UK.
Felicia Hjertman, TILLIT Founder & CEO, said: “We are thrilled to have appointed Danny, who brings deep experience and an outstanding track record in the workplace savings space. His unique perspective will help us turbocharge our launch into workplace pensions and our mission to give members more control over their pension, enabling them to invest in line with their values and retirement goals.”
“The industry needs to do much more to empower members to take ownership of their pension. The first step on that journey is to encourage engagement by allowing more freedom of choice supported by high-quality, plain language information so that members can take action and make informed decisions.”
Meehan said: “The industry must do more to provide people with the tools and the freedom to make their own decisions, assisted by great technology and timely, high-quality information. TILLIT has a unique and refreshing way of engaging and speaking to their customers that really resonates with me. By joining as an independent Non-Executive Director I will bring new perspectives to the board, playing my part in enabling TILLIT to deliver on its strategic objectives.”
Built and backed by industry experts with decades of experience, TILLIT aims to empower and inspire more people to make better investment decisions. Its curated investment Universe, selected by its Investment Committee, spans best-in-class funds across asset classes, regions and styles, empowering investors with jargon-free content to build a portfolio that’s right for them.
