Trust Payments Certified for Offsetting 123 Tonnes of Carbon Dioxide in 2024-25
Trust Payments is proud to have been certified by Carbon Footprint Ltd for helping to combat climate change and sustain our environment for future generations by offsetting 123 tonnes of carbon dioxide in 2024-25.
With multiple sites and a global operation, Trust Payments takes its commitment to Environment, Social & Governance seriously. Offsetting our carbon emissions through initiatives such as afforestation, solar and methane recovery projects are just one of many ways we go about demonstrating our corporate responsibilities to ensure future generations can thrive and prosper on this wonderful planet we call home.
The company has an Environmental Impact Group (EIG), which champions the green agenda throughout the business by influencing policy, encouraging volunteering, running awareness weeks and exploring further ways we can reduce our impact on the environment. In running a company-wide poll, the EIG ensured the environment remains on our agenda, giving everyone a voice about the projects we wish to support.
Matt Storr, Chair of the EIG, said: “These projects not only help pull CO2 out of the atmosphere, they bring long term biodiversity and economical benefits to the local communities in which they are located. We must do more in our everyday lives to ensure the impacts of climate change are minimised for the sake of future generations, no matter where they are located.”
Specific causes recognised by Carbon Footprint include:
Soil Carbon Improvement Project through Grassland Management in South Africa
Afforestation of Degraded Grasslands in Vichada, Colombia
