Raft appoints Rod Talbot as VP Sales
Raft has appointed industry veteran Rod Talbot as Vice President Sales, Asia, to help increase its presence and expertise in the Asia Pacific region.
Talbot, a seasoned senior director and business leader with over 25 years’ experience in supply chain and logistics, was previously Managing Director, Asia, at global freight forwarding software platform provider, WiseTech Global.
“Raft is expanding its global presence and Rod represents a tremendous asset to our team given his experience within Asia Pacific, which is an exciting market for us,” said Lionel van der Walt, Chief Growth Officer, Raft, “He has considerable experience in implementing cloud-based solutions and delivering streamlined and efficient supply chain value.”
Raft is a digital freight forwarding platform which automates and provides actionable visibility for accounts payable, arrival notice, pre-alerts, and customs clearance workflow.
“Digitization is at the forefront of the air cargo industry, as forwarders are recognising the substantial benefits of using technology to address the expensive and time-consuming challenges they face,” said Talbot.
“In my new role I look forward to using my knowledge of the market to help forwarders across Asia improve their performance and increase their productivity by using innovative digital solutions.”
Raft will be meeting with industry colleagues in Geneva at FIATA’s upcoming HQ Meeting from the 18th to the 21st of March.
