tikpay Redefines Transit Payments With MineSec SoftPOS

MineSec, a global leader in SoftPOS technologies, is pleased to announce that tikpay, a pioneer in transport ticketing and payments, has selected MineSec to power its new MPoC capability. This decision follows a 12-month collaboration to enable transport operators, agencies and travellers globally to benefit from an MPoC solution specifically tailored for the unique requirements of public and commercial transport.

MPoC technology transforms NFC-enabled Android devices into secure contactless payment validators, eliminating the need for proprietary ticketing hardware. By integrating MineSec’s SoftPOS SDK and Attestation & Monitoring Service, tikpay will offer a more flexible, cost-effective and innovative solution that leverages their leadership in transport payments.

For transport operators, implementing an MPoC solution would result in significant savings on the costs associated with deploying and maintaining validation hardware, suitable for transit payments. It provides a scalable solution that can be easily integrated across various transport networks, offering a plug-and-play solution for transport ticketing.

“Public transport operators shouldn’t have to rely on expensive, outdated hardware to deliver a great payment and ticketing experience to their travellers,” said Michael Walters, CEO of tikpay. “Our partnership with MineSec ensures that any NFC-enabled Android device can become a secure ticketing and payment terminal – reducing costs, increasing accessibility, and unlocking new possibilities for modern transit networks.”

“MineSec is excited to support tikpay in bringing secure and scalable MPoC technology to the transport ticketing industry,” said Angus Chiu, CEO of MineSec. “Our mission is to enable frictionless, secure payment acceptance on any mobile device, and tikpay’s expertise in mobility solutions makes them an ideal partner to extend these capabilities into public transport networks.”

“Expanding our MPoC solutions into the transportation sector in Australia and New Zealand marks a significant milestone for MineSec,” said Curtis Chia, VP of Sales & Business Development. “We are extending our reach beyond traditional retail and into new frontiers of seamless, secure digital payments.”

By leveraging MineSec’s MPoC technology, tikpay is set to redefine the transport ticketing industry, making contactless payments more accessible, efficient, and user-friendly. This initiative underscores tikpay’s commitment to modernising mobility and attracting more travellers to public transport through innovative, seamless payment experiences.
