Surfboard Payments Now Offers Tap to Pay on iPhone for Customers in Finland to Accept Contactless Payments
Today, Surfboard Payments, the provider of innovative cloud-based payment solutions, now enables its customers in Finland to seamlessly and securely accept in- person contactless payments with Tap to Pay on iPhone.
Tap to Pay on iPhone accepts all forms of contactless payments, including contactless credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and other digital wallets, using only an iPhone and the CheckoutX app — no additional hardware or payment terminal needed.
At checkout, the merchant will simply prompt the customer to hold their contactless payment method near the merchant’s iPhone, and the payment will be securely completed using NFC technology. Tap to Pay on iPhone also supports PIN entry, which includes accessibility options.
Apple’s Tap to Pay on iPhone technology uses the built-in features of iPhone to keep the business and customer data private and secure. When a payment is processed, Apple doesn’t store card numbers or transaction information on Apple servers.
At Surfboard Payments, we’re constantly innovating to ensure our solutions stay ahead of the curve, always ready to meet the evolving needs of our customers. Our integration is designed to be both effortless and powerful. With just a simple download of our CheckoutX app, you can start accepting secure, contactless payments immediately. This means you can begin processing transactions within minutes, reducing setup time and operational hassles. For your customers, this translates into a smoother, faster checkout experience with every payment processed securely and seamlessly. This launch ensures you can serve your customers anytime, anywhere.
Tim Lundqvist, Chief Operating Officer at Surfboard Payments, stated: “We are excited to roll out Tap to Pay on iPhone in Finland, a market that values both premium experiences and efficient service. This breakthrough not only enhances the luxurious shopping journey in upscale stores but also streamlines transactions in busy, queue-busting environments. With this solution, Finnish merchants can deliver a seamless, secure payment experience tailored to the diverse demands of their market, opening up exciting new possibilities for growth and innovation.”
