Smart Payment Technologies Partners with Castles Technology to Strengthen Global Payment Capabilities

Smart Payment Technologies has partnered with Castles Technology to enhance its G8 payment gateway by integrating Castles’ advanced hardware platforms with its existing payment technology ecosystem.

The partnership between the two industry leaders brings together secure, PCI P2PE–certified payment processing with flexible, device-agnostic hardware, enabling merchants and ISVs to deploy scalable payment solutions across multiple environments. Initial deployments will support sectors including EV charging, unattended services, hospitality, entertainment, and retail, where reliability and adaptability are critical.

By combining Castles Technology’s global hardware portfolio with Smart Payment Technologies’ software-led gateway, the collaboration is designed to help businesses reduce failed transactions, support offline payments, and operate more effectively across borders.

G8, Smart Payment Technologies’ in-house payment platform, provides:

  • Flexible hardware and gateway architecture, adaptable to a wide range of customer use cases
  • Simplified ISV onboarding, enabling faster integration and deployment
  • Offline payment capability, ensuring continuity during connectivity outages
  • Auto-retry functionality, improving acceptance rates and reducing transaction failures
  • White-label customisation, allowing partners to tailor the experience to their brand
