Payment Assist and Car Care Plan Partner With Nissan to Launch Instant Service Plan
Leading finance provider Payment Assist has partnered with Car Care Plan and Nissan Motor GB, to develop the manufacturer’s newly launched Instant Service Plan. Combining Car Care Plan’s expertise in service plan administration with Payment Assist’s financial technology, the product offers drivers added value through an interest-free monthly payment, manufacturer-backed service solution.
The new servicing deal sees Payment Assist collaborate with warranty experts Car Care Plan UK to offer Nissan drivers the chance to spread servicing costs over the course of 12 months, covering both a major and minor service for eligible vehicles.
Ideally suited for used Nissan owners, the Instant Service Plan makes the most of Payment Assist’s interest-free payment solution to help spread the cost. Car Care Plan has backed Nissan’s manufacturer warranties for more than a decade, but the two firms have teamed up with Payment Assist to underwrite this new servicing product, due to the brand’s nationwide coverage and wide-reaching expertise with customers, dealerships and garages.
The Instant Service Plan not only helps to spread the cost of servicing, but also ensures customers receive a full manufacturer service, with the vehicle fitted with Nissan-approved parts – all with a one year warranty – as well as 12-months’ RAC Roadside Assistance for added peace of mind. Additional value will be seen further down the line too, with a fully-stamped Nissan dealership service book maintaining high residual values.
Due to be marketed by Nissan online and at dealerships on-site, Instant Service Plan will support both customers and dealers. Drivers will benefit from fixed, monthly payments, spreading the cost of services over the course of a year, while dealerships can rely on repeat custom 12 months down the line.
Marcus Gregory, CEO of Payment Assist, commented: “Nissan’s new Instant Service Plan is the ideal way for customers to maintain a full dealer service history, while benefiting from a flexible, interest-free way to pay. By using Payment Assist’s payment solution, drivers can spread the cost into manageable monthly instalments. It’s a win-win, offering added value for the customer’s vehicle and helping dealerships retain long-term aftersales relationships.”
Car Care Plan Head of Corporate Sales, Jon Norman, added: “We have been working with Nissan for more than 15 years, and the opportunity to bring about this new Instant Service Plan was an ideal chance to further strengthen those ties. By onboarding Payment Assist, we can offer the best possible deal for customers, who would otherwise likely look to independent garages, or not service the vehicle at all. This way, drivers get a full major and minor Nissan service, and benefit from improved residual values as a result.”
Nicolas Belaud, Director, Aftersales Nissan Motor GB Limited said: “We’re pleased to be working in close collaboration with Car Care Plan and Payment Assist to enable the Instant Service Plan product. It’s an ideal way for Nissan dealerships to strengthen relationships with existing and new customers, by offering a convenient and affordable way to pay for this service and their next with interest free monthly payments. And, all the benefits of a Nissan manufacturer-supported service are included, like Nissan Genuine Parts fitted by our trained technicians and 12 months Roadside assistance. ”
Around 45% of Nissan retail customers pick up a service plan from new, with a range of options spanning two, three, or four years, but the new Instant Service Plan is aimed to support those customers who aren’t already covered.
Eligible vehicles must be less than ten years old, UK specification, and excludes all LCVs, GT-R, NISMO, Pathfinder, and Patrol models.
