Currencies Direct Teams Up with Transact Payments to Offer a Better Way to Pay Overseas

Currencies Direct, a leading international payments provider, has partnered with Transact Payments, the experts in cards and payments. The new partnership has enabled Currencies Direct to launch a multi-currency debit card, giving customers the ability to spend seamlessly in over 200 countries (wherever Mastercard is accepted).

Currencies Direct has been facilitating bank-to-bank currency transfers for individuals and businesses since 1996. The company has evolved its offering significantly over the years, making them one of the few providers in the international payments space to offer an omni-channel experience.

Customers can already send payments to over 120 countries in more than 40 currencies. They also have the flexibility to manage their transfers on their terms, from arranging them over the phone with a personal account manager to moving money on the go with the Currencies Direct app, but the launch of the multi-currency debit card will also allow customers to spend overseas simply and securely.

With no upfront, monthly or recurring fees, customers can use their Currencies Direct card in over 200 countries, move money seamlessly between currencies and withdraw money from ATMs, all at Currencies Direct’s competitive exchange rates. And with instant notifications in the Currencies Direct app, customers can track their spending abroad and stay in control with features like the ability to freeze/unfreeze the card.

Hardik Shah, Group Head of Product for Currencies Direct, said: “The launch of our multi-currency debit card marks a new chapter for our business and our customers, and we couldn’t be more excited about it. The card we’ve developed is the result of both extensive research and development, and a genuine understanding of our customers’ needs.”

Aaron Carpenter, CEO, Transact Payments, said: “We are delighted to support such an esteemed brand as Currencies Direct to help bring to fruition a product that answers to the increasing demand for flexible, secure and seamless overseas payments.”

Transact Payments is today one of the fastest-growing payment services providers in the world. It delivers innovative and flexible payment card, tokenised mobile payments, payment account and e-money issuing solutions. Working with Transact Payments means clients can rely on an experienced, regulated payments partner with a deep level of expertise that ensures programmes can go to market as quickly as possible and are also fully compliant. By handling this part of the payments puzzle, clients can concentrate on what they do best – creating market-leading customer experiences.
