Artea Bank Migrates to BPC’s Cloud-Native SmartVista Platform to Power Mastercard Issuing
Artea Bank, a major Lithuanian commercial bank dedicated to improving the financial well-being of Lithuania’s residents and businesses, has selected BPC SmartVista, a cloud-native, microservices-based platform, to modernize its card-issuing infrastructure.
Delivered fully in SaaS mode, the next-generation solution offers to the bank support for Mastercard debit and credit products, tokenization for Apple Pay and Google Pay, and advanced fraud management, enabling the bank to roll out instantly more than quarter million cards while keeping compliance and operational efficiency.
In its search for a technology partner, Artea Bank set clear objectives: shorten time-to-market for new card products and provide its customers with a modern payments experience. To achieve the goal, the bank looked for technology that would help it to stay compliant with EU regulations, ensure seamless scalability for future cross-border services and provide a robust API layer for easy integration with its own existing services, local and international partners.
BPC met those requirements and set to enhance issuing side of Artea Bank business by offering next-generation SmartVista card management as a service, that allows bank to launch modern digital and physical Mastercard and local branded card programmes. To secure the operations, BPC offers tokenization and real-time fraud management and analytics. Thanks to powerful integrational capabilities of SmartVista, the platform’s APIs links smoothly to Artea Bank’s core systems, third-party services and the Apple Pay, Google Pay, giving the bank a single, modular framework for every step of the customer journey.
Leveraging BPC technology, Artea Bank obtains guaranteed near-zero downtimes on operations, and achieves international compliance with PSD2, RTS, PCI-DSS, GDPR, and DORA standards. A rich library of open APIs positions the bank to onboard new partners quickly and expand its payment portfolio across the Baltic region.
