Airwallex Signals Strategic Growth Intent in Middle East
Global payments and financial platform for modern businesses, Airwallex signals strategic growth, looking to expand in the Middle East, as it sees the region as critical to building a fully global business.
Airwallex recently established an entity in the Mainland and made its first on-the-ground hire based in Abu Dhabi to spearhead initial local engagement, and is pleased to announce that Global CEO and Co-Founder Jack Zhang will be speaking at the Dubai Fintech Summit – taking place at the Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai on 6-7 May, 2024.
The company has also taken steps to apply for all the requisite licenses enabling it to extend its global infrastructure network to the Middle East, starting with the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In 2023, Airwallex grew its EMEA revenue by 169 percent YoY, and launched its presence in Israel one year ago (which has grown revenue by over 1,444 percent).
Airwallex is enthusiastic about its future growth plans across the Middle East Region. As emerging markets continue to reshape the global economy, new trends and opportunities are presented in e-commerce, supply chains and distributed employment.
The company will continue to build its Middle East presence as a fundamental part of its ongoing global growth strategy.
