Meniga appoints Simon Shorthose as new CEO

Today, Meniga, the global leader of white-label digital engagement banking solutions introduces its new CEO, Simon Shorthose. He replaces the company co-founder and former CEO, Georg Ludviksson, who remains a shareholder of the company.

“After a most exciting and fulfilling 14 years, I am now passing the baton over to Simon. I’ve seen first-hand his strengths and feel confident that Meniga will thrive under his leadership. With his 20-year track record of proven results in tech on a global scale, I put my complete trust in Simon to continue our mission to help banks create an unrivalled digital banking experience and bring Meniga to new heights.

I thank all my friends, my team, my colleagues and our customers for their trust and cooperation that have made my time at Meniga so rewarding.” – Georg Ludviksson

Since co-founding Meniga in 2009, Ludviksson has led the company to the success that it is today – with leading banking customers in over 30 different countries, such as UniCredit, BPCE, Intesa, Swedbank, Nordea and UOB.

“I speak for the entire Board when I congratulate Georg on the work he has done these past 14 years. He has built and matured a company that has become the leading provider of digital engagement solutions for banks worldwide.

We are thrilled that Simon has taken this new role that can now support the company’s future business objectives.” Willem Willemstein, Chairman of the Board at Meniga and CEO of Velocity Capital.

Simon Shorthose has over 20 years of experience in leading organizations across software and financial services, previously serving as Executive Leader of SAAS software company Kyriba and Head of Global Sales at SaaS banking platform Mambu. He has been on the management team of two unicorn tech companies and has extensive European and Global experience.

“It is a huge privilege to lead Meniga, and I am very excited about taking on the challenge of helping major banks build greater digital engagement and insights and financial coaching with their customers and helping drive enhanced targeted marketing.

Meniga’s solutions are at the forefront of helping banks take their digital banking experience to the next level of hyper-personalisation. There is a growing demand to invest in improved online and mobile channels to create deeper customer engagement, build greater loyalty and ultimately meet business outcomes. With the rapid modernisation of banking technology and the move to real-time cloud infrastructures, Meniga is in a prime position for growth.

Looking forward to the future, I remain focused on delivering the best service to our customers and taking Meniga through the next stage of growth.

I’d also like to thank Georg for trusting me with this responsibility and for his remarkable leadership from the start.” Simon Shorthose
