MedMal Direct names COO and Director

MedMal Direct Insurance Company (“MDIC”), the direct-to-physician medical professional liability insurance carrier, announces the promotion of Bryan Carter to Chief Operating Officer and Director, effective immediately. Carter’s appointment by the Management Team and Board of Directors follows the company’s significant premium growth under his leadership of the sales and marketing division.

Marc D. Hammett, President and CEO of MedMal Direct, remarked, “I have known Bryan as a colleague for over twenty years and he is a seasoned and proven medical professional liability and healthcare sales leader that achieves results. Additionally, Bryan is a thoughtful and strategic leader and I am excited to see how his insights will propel our company to new levels of operational efficiency, growth and profitability.  Since he joined our team in 2018, both MDIC and our affiliate, CorePRO Insurance, LLC, have steadily grown revenues year-over-year.  Bryan is an enthusiastic and intuitive manager, and I am eager to see him grow into this role.”

Carter has almost 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry leading highly successful teams and has a proven track record of producing significant operational and financial growth.

P. Butler Ball, CEO and Director of Physicians Trust, Inc., MedMal Direct’s parent company, added, “Our Board is pleased to have Bryan increase his responsibilities at MedMal Direct in his new role as our Chief Operating Officer and Director.  Bryan is a no-nonsense, hard-working, and motivated leader and I couldn’t think of a better person for the position.”

Bryan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Certified Revenue Cycle Representative designation.
