Israeli President Herzog at Ourcrowd Summit: “I’m Doing My Best to Direct This Debate Into Constructive Dialogue”

Herzog made his remarks at the opening plenary session of the OurCrowd Global Investor Summit, the largest investor event in the Middle East taking place today at the International Convention Center in Jerusalem.

Summit began with a joint press conference on the Abraham Accords. OurCrowd CEO Jon Medved said, “The Middle East is coming together today at the OurCrowd Summit with large delegations from the UAE, Morocco, and more countries from the region. The presence of dozens of startups, investors, and government officials from these and other countries represents a huge vote of confidence in the future. If you look where we started in 2021, the Israeli VC system was being flooded with money from around the world; trying to build a relationship takes time. The flip side is that you look at the UAE, they have been deploying capital around the world already, so this is just another market that is opened up and [we’re] getting to know each other.”
