Building the Future: Shin Kong Vietnam and PVI Partner for Digital Insurance Growth

PVI and Shin Kong Vietnam have teamed up to expedite the development of digital insurance. The Shin Kong Vietnam PVI partnership seeks to facilitate access and innovation in Vietnam’s expanding insurtech sector.

The grand opening ceremony brought together key stakeholders from across the insurance sector. Attendees included the Director General of the Vietnam Insurance Authority, representatives from Taiwan Financial Supervisory Commission, Chairman Wei from Shin Kong Life, PVI  Insurance (PVI), Dai-Ichi Life, and AIFT, as well as representatives from strategic business partners, government agencies, and the media. Their presence highlighted the significance of this partnership for the future of Vietnam’s insurance sector.

In the opening remark session, Chairman Wei of Shin Kong Life said: “This cooperation is a significant milestone for us in Vietnam,” “AIFT’s IXT core insurance platform has allowed us to digitize rapidly, and partnering with PVI ensures we deliver localized, customer-centric solutions.”

For PVI, the partnership offers access to global best practices and advanced technology infrastructure, supporting its ongoing digital expansion ambitions through diverse distribution channels. For Shin Kong Vietnam, PVI provides invaluable market insights, capabilities to cooperate through technology, and regulatory expertise. The Shin Kong Vietnam PVI partnership scales up-to-date insurance services by leveraging digital expertise and local market knowledge.

“This partnership represents a powerful combination of technology and tradition,” said Mr. Duong Thanh Francois, the chairman of PVI Insurance in the guest speeches session. “Together, we aim to raise industry standards and bring greater value to Vietnamese customers.”

Michelle Ip, CEO of AIFT Enterprise, emphasized the broader vision: “This successful launch in Vietnam is just the beginning. With its vast experience in the Vietnam market, AIFT understands the unique opportunities and challenges here. As Shin Kong expands its presence across Southeast Asia, AIFT will continue to grow alongside our partner, delivering scalable technology solutions and supporting sustainable growth through strong local collaborations.”

This partnership brings together Shin Kong Vietnam’s international insurance expertise with PVI’s strong local presence and market leadership. At the core of this collaboration is IXT’s innovative insurance technology platform, which enables fast, flexible product development while ensuring compliance with local regulations and delivering an enhanced digital experience for customers.

AIFT and Shin Kong Vietnam have partnered with Chunghwa Telecom Vietnam Co., Ltd. for data center and cloud infrastructure services. Leveraging Chunghwa Telecom’s 17+ years of Vietnam IDC experience, this collaboration delivers enterprise cloud solutions, cybersecurity services, and consulting to financial, retail, and service industry clients. The tri-party partnership exemplifies Taiwan-Vietnam cross-border synergies in digital insurance innovation.

This grand opening ceremony marks more than a contract signing or a new digital product launch – it signals a new era of collaboration and innovation in Vietnam’s insurance industry under the strategic alliance among insurers, agents and technology providers.

The goal of this Shin Kong Vietnam PVI partnership is for both companies to create a digital insurance ecosystem in Vietnam that is prepared for the future.
