Emil Frey Group Launches Digital Insurance Solution With Swiss Re’s iptiQ

Emil Frey Group has entered a partnership in Switzerland with iptiQ, Swiss Re’s B2B2C digital insurer. The two Swiss companies today announced the launch of a digital insurance solution that is seamlessly integrated into the personal customer consultations for car purchases and services.

This new partnership combines Emil Frey’s customer-centric focus in the automotive market with iptiQ’s expertise in integrating digital insurance solutions into the value chain of consumer brands (“embedded insurance”).

The newly launched Emil Frey protect solution is fully integrated into Emil Frey’s digital sales and mobility platform and can now be offered to customers in the Swiss market in a simple and flexible manner when purchasing and servicing cars – conveniently 100% paperless.

In order to ensure an individual proposition, customers are offered a personal one-stop-shop advice in their Emil Frey branch of choice. The resulting insurance offer is issued and confirmed completely digitally. Emil Frey’s principle of “one specialist for all car-related concerns” also applies in the event of a claim, whereby Emil Frey protect customers can rely on repairs with original spare parts. Furthermore, the deductible for collision can be reduced to CHF 0.

Bernd Hoch, Managing Director and Claudio Kneschaurek, Head of Automotive Insurance at Emil Frey Mobility AG, said: “We are very pleased with the successful launch of Emil Frey protect in collaboration with iptiQ. Thanks to an ideal combination of digitalisation and personalisation, we can now offer our customers comprehensive and high-performance car insurance with just a few clicks.”

Andreas Schertzinger, Regional Market Executive iptiQ EMEA, said: “We are proud to be able to offer an innovative insurance solution together with Emil Frey. With our relentless focus on customer needs and seamless integration into the sales and mobility platform, we are setting a prime example of how embedded insurance is enabling the future of mobility.”
