“This tripartite partnership excites me because it showcases the possibilities and the benefits the end customer can get when the industry works together. In this case, you have Surer providing the insurtech to tie in the underwriting expertise of Markel and the onground knowledge of the customer from Windward Insurance Brokers.” said Derren Teo, Co-founder of Surer.
Simon Moi, Head of Professional and Financial Risks (Asia) of Markel International, concurred – “Markel is proud to collaborate with Surer and Windward Insurance Brokers to provide a seamless digital insurance solution for Singapore’s accounting professionals. The digital revolution has changed customer expectations in every industry and insurance is no exception. Digital platforms such as Surer enable everyone to utilize APIs which allow for efficient sharing of data, the ability to communicate with multiple parties simultaneously, and replaces historic paper or manual data entry in multiple systems.”
“Intermediaries are a crucial part of the insurance advisory process, as they are client-facing. To shorten the time taken between preparation to policy issuance, the intermediaries need to start leveraging technology to ensure all relevant information that is necessary for underwriting are obtained and presented to the insurer. In this tripartite relationship, Windward understood the importance of working together with professional bodies and the insurer to identify gaps in product, hence achieving price certainty and underwriting Clarity in our solutions. This tripartite partnership is indeed an epitome of what I feel will elevate this industry as a whole.” said David Lee, CEO of Windward Insurance Brokers.
