ZBD Appoints Nicole Diaz as SVP of Product From Thunes
ZBD, the payments innovator powering real-money rewards for games, today announces the appointment of Nicole Diaz as Senior Vice President of Product.
Nicole brings over 19 years of product leadership experience across fintech, enterprise software, and startup ecosystems. Most recently, she served as Director of Product at Tilia (acquired by Thunes), a licensed money services business delivering payments infrastructure for the games industry, where she partnered with companies including Unity, Applovin, and VRChat. She previously served as CPO and CTO at ActivePDF Inc., and gained foundational experience at Hewlett-Packard Enterprise.
Based in Southern California, Nicole will oversee the strategy and development of ZBD’s global payments products: high-volume, multi-currency solutions that power seamless in-game experiences and creator economies worldwide.
Backed by ZBD’s robust regulatory framework – including money transmitter licenses in the US and the EU’s EMI and MiCAR – Nicole will focus on delivering immersive products that serve both developers and players for the company’s partners in the United States and beyond.
Marca Wosoba , President and COO of ZBD, commented:“Nicole is an experienced fintech product leader who brings invaluable experience in innovative payments to ZBD. There is immense opportunity in embedded payments for interactive industries and, with ZBD’s world-beating compliance, payments infrastructure, and now Nicole at the helm of product strategy, we’re incredibly well placed to capitalize on that opportunity in 2026 and beyond.”
Nicole Diaz added: “I’m thrilled to be joining ZBD as they continue to redefine how payments and rewards fit seamlessly into digital experiences. I’m excited to work with the team as we continue growing our payments products to help partners deliver better value and overall experiences for players. As a longtime gamer, I know the joy of getting lost in farming sims, RPGs, and quirky strategy games, and I look forward to bringing that passion into my work at ZBD.”
Nicole joins ZBD during a phase of rapid expansion, with the company launching its gaming rewards SDK, securing both their EMI and MiCAR licenses in the EU, and powering the first-ever Bitcoin microtransactions in an iOS game.
