WTW Appoints Chris Varley as Global Proposition Leader for Commercial Lines Pricing and Underwriting
WTW, a global advisory, broking and solutions company, has announced the appointment of Chris Varley as Global Proposition Leader for Commercial Lines Pricing and Underwriting within the company’s Insurance Consulting and Technology business.
Varley rejoins WTW from Allianz Commercial UK, where he held the role of Chief Data and Analytics Officer from March 2022, and most recently as Chief Underwriting Officer.
Prior to this, Varley held the position of Senior Director for Commercial Lines Pricing and Underwriting for five years at WTW, specialising in the development of analytics tools for the commercial insurance market.
In his new role, Varley will be based in London and lead Commercial Lines Pricing and Underwriting strategy globally for the Insurance Consulting and Technology business, helping insurers to modernise and thrive in this evolving market. This is a strategic area globally for WTW in which the Insurance Consulting and Technology business is targeting sustained double-digit growth, supporting the transformation of the commercial insurance marketplace.
