Volante Technologies’ Deepak Gupta Reappointed to the U.S. Faster Payments Council Board Advisory Group

Volante Technologies, the global leader in Payments as a Service (PaaS), today announced the reappointment of Deepak Gupta, EVP Product, Engineering & Services at Volante, to the U.S. Faster Payments Council (FPC) 2025-2026 Board Advisory Group. The Board Advisory Group, established by the FPC Board of Directors, is composed of industry leaders with broad experience in payments who provide perspectives to help inform the FPC’s priorities and initiatives.

As an advisory group member, Gupta works alongside leading experts to help shape the future of U.S. faster payments and guide the FPC in identifying emerging trends and new opportunities. His focus includes addressing critical industry challenges such as broadening adoption of the FedNow® and RTP® networks, accelerating innovative end-user services, ensuring institutions take full advantage of ISO 20022’s extended data, and utilizing interoperability to extend the reach of U.S. faster payments from the domestic sphere to the global landscape.

“We are excited to welcome back Deepak Gupta to the FPC’s Board Advisory Group,” said Reed Luhtanen, FPC Executive Director and CEO. “Deepak has been a champion for innovation in the payments industry, and we look forward to the insights and perspective he will bring to the table once again, working to advance the FPC’s mission.”

Gupta, a career innovator in cloud and SaaS, brings more than 30 years of senior technology leadership and deep expertise to the advisory board. As EVP of Product, Engineering, and Services at Volante, he oversees product, engineering, services, cloud infrastructure, research and development, and support, with a focus on driving innovation and strengthening Volante’s solutions to meet the evolving needs of the payments industry. Gupta’s expertise has translated into measurable revenue and customer growth, margin improvements, and a significantly enhanced customer experience.

Over the past five years, Gupta has led Volante’s transformation from a niche provider into a dominant force in U.S. payments. Under his leadership, the company processed the first U.S. RTP® transaction and was live on day one of the FedNow® Service. Today, seven of the top 10 U.S. banks trust Volante to power their payments operations, with its cloud-native solutions processing millions of faster payments every month.

“I am grateful to have been reappointed this year to the U.S. Faster Payments Council Board Advisory Group,” said Deepak Gupta. “Working alongside other leaders has reinforced my passion and commitment to tackling our industry’s most complex obstacles, especially the adoption of instant payment rails and accelerating compelling new consumer and business end user services for these networks. I look forward to bringing forward my knowledge and industry experiences.”
