TBC Uzbekistan Announces Sharof Sharipov as Chief Financial Officer of TBC Digital

TBC Uzbekistan, Central Asia’s leading digital banking ecosystem and part of London-listed TBC Bank Group, announces the appointment of Sharof Sharipov as Chief Financial Officer of TBC Digital.

Sharipov brings more than 20 years of financial services experience to TBC Digital, the management company that unites all of the businesses within the TBC Uzbekistan ecosystem under one umbrella. Educated in the UK at the University of Warwick and with decades of experience working across London’s banking and fintech ecosystem, his expertise spans a wide range of key transactions across equity and debt capital markets, including IPOs, private and public M&As, bond issuances and cross-border acquisitions and disposals. He has held senior roles in business development at Virgin Money and mergers & acquisitions at UBS Investment Bank and HSBC, as well as CEO and CFO positions at leading fintechs, such as open payments infrastructure platform Token Inc and 10x Banking, a cloud-native banking SaaS provider.

In his role as CFO of TBC Digital, Sharipov will work alongside CEO Nika Kurdiani, Chairman Oliver Hughes and Board Members David Nangle and Matthew Risley to spearhead the digital banking powerhouse’s continued profitable growth. Together, the leadership team will oversee TBC Uzbekistan’s strategic direction and continued focus on building the region’s largest digital banking ecosystem for both consumers and businesses.

Nika Kurdiani, CEO of TBC Uzbekistan, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Sharof to the TBC Uzbekistan family. Sharof’s deep experience across a diverse set of investment banking and financial services institutions is set to further strengthen our world-class team, as we focus on scaling further to become a comprehensive two-sided ecosystem connecting consumers and businesses.

Sharof Sharipov, CFO of TBC Uzbekistan, commented: “It’s an exciting time to be joining the management team of TBC Uzbekistan, the region’s digital banking powerhouse that leads on bringing the latest industry innovations to Central Asia. The ecosystem has achieved tremendous growth since its launch, cementing itself as one of the most trusted brands in one of the world’s fastest growing and most dynamic markets. I look forward to working with the team, as it continues to expand its range of products for consumers and businesses, create stronger synergies within the ecosystem and deliver robust returns.”
