Surfboard Payments Appoints Johannes Åkermark as Chief Financial Officer

Surfboard Payments announces the appointment of Johannes Åkermark as Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Johannes brings  over a decade of international experience in investment banking, private equity, and  payments to Surfboard Payments, strengthening the company’s leadership team as it  continues its ambitious growth journey.  

Most recently, Johannes served as an independent advisor to software and payments  companies, advising on strategy, capital raising, and M&A initiatives. Prior to this, he was  Investment Director at Nordic Capital, where he focused on technology and payments  investments across Northern Europe. His career also includes senior roles at Klarna, focused  on accelerating the roadmap through acquisitions and strategic projects, and at GP  Bullhound and Goldman Sachs, where he advised on transactions across Europe, the US,  and the Middle East.
