Standard Chartered Appoints Global Head of Data, Analytics & AI for Wealth and Retail Banking Business
Standard Chartered (“the Bank”) today announced the appointment of Yusuf Demiral as Global Head, Wealth & Retail Banking (WRB) Data, Analytics & AI. In this newly created role, Yusuf will lead the Bank’s WRB Data, Analytics & AI strategy across the end-to-end client journey and collaborate closely with the Marketing, Digital Sales and Client Experience teams to deliver the overall strategy of the Chief Client Office.
Yusuf brings with him over 25 years of banking experience and was most recently the Group Head of Data Analytics and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) for Wealth and Personal Banking at HSBC. He was responsible for driving data platforms, advanced analytics and CRM capabilities for HSBC’s retail and wealth banking operations across products, segments and channels, leading a global team of over 1,000 professionals in more than 20 markets.
Joining the Bank on 7 July 2025, Yusuf will be based in Hong Kong, reporting to Samir Subberwal, Global Head, Wealth Solutions, Deposits and Mortgages, and Chief Client Officer.
