India’s IndusInd Bank has appointed industry veteran Ravi Kumar Pangal as its new chief information officer (CIO).
Pangal brings over 30 years of experience to the role, having led technology teams at ANZ and Standard Chartered’s Scope International before joining HSBC in 2016.

Pangal’s appointment at IndusInd Bank follows the arrival of Rajiv Anand as CEO in August 2025.
IndusInd informed the National Stock Exchange of India (NSEI) of Pangal’s appointment directly. At the same time, the bank also submitted its updated list of senior management personnel which, in addition to Pangal, also includes recent hires Viral Damania as CFO and Balaji Narayanamurthy as CDO, who joined the bank in September and December 2025 respectively, according to their LinkedIn profiles.
