MAPFRE AM Appoints Ismael García Puente as the New Deputy Director of Investment Strategy

MAPFRE AM, the asset management arm of MAPFRE Group has appointed Ismael García Puente as the new Deputy Director of Investment Strategy, a newly created position in which he will be involved in the development and communication of the MAPFRE Group’s investment strategy, overseeing the management of specialist funds, market analysis, and asset allocation. He will also continue to assume responsibility for managing the wealth manager networks and life insurance portfolios as well as liaising with customers.

This appointment forms part of MAPFRE’s strategy to enhance its financial business. García Puente will report to F. Javier Lendines, General Manager at MAPFRE AM.

Ismael García Puente has a degree in Business Administration and Management from Carlos III University as well as a Master’s Degree in Financial Markets and Investments from the BME Institute. Likewise, he holds CAIA, CESGA, and MFIA certifications.

Linked to MAPFRE since 2011, until now he served as Head of Investments and Selection of Investment Funds at MAPFRE Inversión.
