FOLK2FOLK Strengthens Lending Team with Appointment of Tracey Gott as Relationship Manager

FOLK2FOLK, the UK’s largest peer-to-peer business lending platform with £780 million lent to date, has announced the appointment of Tracey Gott as Relationship Manager. Tracey joined the business before the summer and has already built strong broker engagement in her first few months.

Since its launch in 2013, FOLK2FOLK has connected hundreds of local businesses with investors, providing business loans from £100,000 to help SMEs start, grow and diversify in every region of the UK.

With more than 30 years of experience in financial services, including 18 years at Barclays and more than six years as a Senior Business Manager at a commercial brokerage, Tracey brings extensive experience in commercial finance, SME lending, and stakeholder management. She is CeMAP-qualified and known for her practical mindset, attention to detail, and friendly, people-first approach.

Roy Warren, Managing Director of FOLK2FOLK, commented: “Tracey’s experience on both sides of the lending relationship – as a broker and now as a lender – gives her a unique perspective. She understands what matters to brokers, clients, and lenders alike, and she brings an energy and empathy that’s already proving valuable. We’re delighted to have her on the team.”

Reflecting on her transition from broker to lender, Tracey said: “I’m learning to think like a lender but I can already see how valuable my broker perspective is. I think there’s real strength in wearing both hats as it helps with understanding and enables smarter conversations all around.”

As part of the national Relationship Management team, Tracey works closely with FOLK2FOLK’s broker network to deliver fast, flexible, and property-secured loans to UK businesses ready to start, grow, or diversify. Her experience assessing borrower needs and structuring tailored lending solutions contributes directly to FOLK2FOLK’s mission of driving prosperity in the nations and regions of the UK.
