Emprise Bank Adds Fintech Entrepreneur Randy Fernando to Board of Directors
Emprise Bank announced today that proven fintech founder and serial entrepreneur Randy Fernando has been elected to the Emprise Bank Board of Directors. Fernando brings deep expertise in financial infrastructure, great experience with product development, a track record of building and scaling successful companies, and a growth-oriented mindset that will support innovation across the bank’s business.
Fernando founded and successfully exited two fintech companies. In 2014, he founded Vault Investing, which was acquired by micro-investment platform Acorns in 2017. In 2021, he founded Power Finance, which was acquired by payments platform Marqeta in 2023.
“Randy is an outstanding founder and builder whose experience scaling companies within financial services is exactly the perspective we want around our board table,” said Matt Michaelis, Chairman and CEO of Emprise Bank. “He shares our values and our ambition—his insights will strengthen Emprise Bank as we continue to innovate and grow across every part of our business.”
