Colombian Fintech TumiPay Appoints Karina Sensebé as Regional Country Manager for Latin America

TumiPay, a Colombian fintech specializing in digital payments infrastructure, announced the appointment of Karina Sensebé as Regional Country Manager for Latin America. This designation reinforces the company’s regional expansion strategy and consolidates its commitment to the Peruvian market as a key hub within Latin America.

“This appointment reinforces TumiPay’s key role in the payments revolution in LATAM. Leading this growth in Peru and across the region is an honor, as we are enabling innovative payment solutions, contributing to financial inclusion, and positioning TumiPay as a regional benchmark,” said Sensebé.

The executive brings 25 years of experience in the financial sector. She began her career in traditional banking and later took on leadership roles in innovative fintechs across the region. Throughout her career, she has led teams, driven interoperability in Peru, and actively contributed to the evolution of the payments ecosystem in Latin America. In her new role, she will focus on strengthening TumiPay’s presence in digital payments and strategic verticals.

Strategic Priorities in Peru

Sensebé has defined three strategic pillars for this new phase: consolidating key partnerships in strategic verticals, expanding the interoperable digital payments network across the region, and strengthening TumiPay’s value proposition by driving innovation and trust in every transaction, under the leadership of CEO Marcela Santiago Rizo.

From her perspective, the digital payments ecosystem in Latin America is experiencing a phase of significant opportunities, driven by the rapid digitalization of financial services and the growing adoption of electronic payments. However, she also acknowledges challenges such as regulatory diversity across countries, uneven maturity of financial infrastructures, and competition from established players.

In this context, TumiPay is committed to technological adaptability, a deep understanding of each market, and the development of strategic partnerships to scale sustainably across the region.

Real-Time Payments Infrastructure

Founded six years ago in Barranquilla, Colombia, TumiPay emerged in response to inefficiencies identified in traditional financial processes. The company specializes in real-time collection and disbursement solutions for businesses, with a focus on operational efficiency and reducing friction in payment systems.

Currently, the fintech serves dozens of corporate clients across multiple markets in the region and projects accelerated growth toward 2026. Among its goals are achieving revenue exceeding US$12 million and processing more than 8 million transactions—effectively tripling its results compared to the end of 2025.

Regional Expansion and Partnerships

With Sensebé’s leadership in Peru, TumiPay is strengthening its local operations and advancing its expansion strategy into markets such as Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and Ecuador. Initially, the executive will focus on strengthening positioning in Peru, although the company anticipates rapid growth in other countries across the region.

Additionally, the fintech plans to develop strategic partnerships with players across the financial and payments ecosystem. In Peru, its entry has been carried out in coordination with the local Paytech ecosystem, opening opportunities for collaboration with financial institutions, payment networks, and technology platforms.

With this appointment, TumiPay aims to consolidate its position as a key enabler of payments infrastructure for businesses in Latin America, in a context of increasing digitalization and growing demand for more agile, interoperable, and efficient financial solutions.
