OneBanx Welcomes Stuart Fearn MBE as Chief Commercial Officer

OneBanx are delighted to welcome Stuart Fearn MBE to OneBanx, a GLORY company, as their new Chief Commercial Officer.

With an impressive career spanning 29 years in Building Societies, Financial Advice firms, and the Charity sector, Stuart has dedicated himself to improving the financial circumstances of individuals and businesses in local communities. His experience and deep understanding of the sector make him a perfect fit for our mission at OneBanx.

Stuart is a strong advocate for digital innovation and new banking solutions that help maintain critical face-to-face banking services, ensuring that individuals and businesses continue to have access to banking, advice, and financial education. The OneBanx multi-bank platform was central to his decision to join us, as it provides a sustainable and customer-centric solution to the evolving banking landscape.

Over the past 18 months, Stuart has worked as a consultant across the Building Society and Credit Union sectors, advising on the use of technology to open and sustain long-term, commercially viable branches. His insights have already helped many mutuals embrace new banking models that combine digital efficiency with human engagement—a philosophy that aligns perfectly with OneBanx’s vision.

As Chief Commercial Officer, Stuart will be instrumental in expanding OneBanx’s multi-bank platform, strengthening their partnerships across the building societies and banking sectors and driving forward OneBanx’s mission to provide cost-effective, long-term banking solutions for communities across the UK.

Javed Anjum, CEO of OneBanx, welcomed Stuart to the team, saying:“We are thrilled to have Stuart join OneBanx at such a pivotal time. His extensive experience and passion for community banking align perfectly with our mission to ensure availability of modern solutions that maintain the services individuals and businesses need even when their local branch is closed. Stuart’s expertise will be invaluable as we continue to expand and strengthen our partnerships with building societies, banks, regulators, and communities across the UK. I have no doubt that his leadership will accelerate our efforts in delivering innovative, accessible, and sustainable banking solutions.”

Stuart received his MBE in October 2020 for his outstanding service to the community and his support for banking and businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. He also brings valuable governance experience as a Non-Executive Director of Society Matters CIC, a Citizens Advice subsidiary, and a Non-Executive Director of the Patterdale Estate, a YMCA North Tyneside subsidiary.

OneBanx are excited to welcome Stuart to the team and look forward to the impact he will make in shaping the future of accessible banking with OneBanx.
