Karim Haji Appointed Global Head of Financial Services, KPMG International
Karim Haji has been appointed Global Head of Financial Services (FS) for KPMG International.
With more than three decades of experience, including working in the UK, Switzerland, India and the US, Karim is a leading figure and voice of authority in global banking and finance. He joined KPMG in the UK in 1995 as a banking audit graduate, becoming Head of FS in the UK in 2019, and later taking on an expanded role leading KPMG’s FS offering across the EMA region in 2021.
From October 1, Karim maintains the role of UK Head of FS in addition to being Global Head, taking over from Judd Caplain, who has retired from the firm. Karim’s focus will be on driving continued growth in FS – a key sector for KPMG globally. He’ll work with KPMG member firms around the world to support clients and sector leaders at a crucial time for the industry as it navigates a period of international economic and geopolitical uncertainty.
A seasoned leader, Karim supports growth and investment in emerging issues like Fintech and ESG and stands as a committed champion of greater equity and diversity.
“Any organization is only as good as its people, and at KPMG we have an exceptional team of people. I have been fortunate enough to work with teams right across the globe and I look forward to driving better connectivity between them. I’ve grounded my career around one simple principle – delivering the best of KPMG to clients and now, more than ever before, that means being jurisdiction and product agnostic. I want to thank Judd for all he has done, in particular, to move the dial on our inclusion, diversity and equity ambitions and I plan to continue that work at pace.” – Karim Haji, Global Head of Financial Services.
