Cardiff-Based ANNA Money Named in CNBC’s UK Top Fintech Companies

Cardiff-head-quartered ANNA Money, the AI-powered business account that does your taxes, has been named in the very first edition of the CNBC UK’s Top FinTech Companies Special Report, published by Statista and CNBC on 17 September.

After publishing numerous lists of the World’s Top FinTech Companies, the prestigious American business news channel CNBC has teamed up with market research firm Statista to publish a new UK-focused special report identifying the top 150 fintechs in the UK across seven different market sectors, based on KPIs and sector-specific metrics for their category. ANNA appears in the ‘neobanking’ category for digital-only financial institutions.

‘With a centuries-old financial services sector, and attracting more FinTech VC investments than any other European country, the UK is a significant global hub for FinTechs and one of the world’s largest markets for financial technology,’ says CNBC. ‘The neobanking segment in particular has flourished in the UK thanks to fintech-friendly rules devised by regulators after the global financial crisis to make the banking sector more competitive.’

The announcement has been met with excitement by the ANNA team, celebrating their inclusion on this prestigious list.

Eduard Panteleev, ANNA Money’s co-founder and co-CEO, reflected on the milestone, said:‘We don’t do what we do to win awards or accolades – we do it to make running a business easier for our customers. But being named as a top UK neobank by CNBC, a world leader in business news whose content is consumed by millions of people globally, is very pleasing, and we’d like to thank both CNBC and Statista for including us – it’s a great honor.’
