AI, Sustainability and Open Banking Dominate the Conversation at Money20/20 Europe

CCGroup, the B2B technology PR and marketing agency, today launched its report analysing the media environment at Money20/20 Europe 2023, one of the leading fintech conferences on the continent. The report provides a snapshot of media activity from 116 companies and offers an insight of what success looks like from a PR and marketing perspective.

In terms of best performing topics – AI, sustainability and Open Banking were the themes most covered by media before, during and after the show. The rise of sustainability and ESG as prominent issues at the event is worth noting and likely to be consistent with this years’ event.

CCGroup found that the average number of articles for a business at the event is seven. So in order to “outperform” others at the event you need to be delivering more than seven, and ideally 10+.

With news being a major coverage driver at shows, it is important to know what news is going to make a splash. The report indicates that the top performing news type at the show was both mergers and acquisitions (26%) and funding (26%) related, with product announcements coming in last with only 5%.

“With the world’s media attending the event, Money20/20 Europe presents a resounding opportunity for fintechs to raise their profile, attract the interest of buyers and investors, and help set the industry agenda. Success depends on numerous factors including long-term planning, creativity and execution, ” said Daniel Lowther, Head of fintech at CCGroup.
