Tassat Upgrades Lynq to Avalanche to Scale Institutional Settlement Network

The migration of the Lynq network to a dedicated Avalanche L1 (formerly known as a “Subnet”) marks a definitive shift in institutional finance, where “closed-loop” private blockchains are evolving into “public-permissioned” hybrids. Historically, platforms like Signature Bank’s Signet proved that real-time settlement could work at scale, but they were often confined to a single bank’s ecosystem. By moving to Avalanche, Tassat is breaking these silos, allowing its 30+ institutional partners—including B2C2, Galaxy, and Wintermute—to settle in a dedicated environment that combines the privacy of a private network with the liquidity and interoperability of the public Avalanche C-Chain.
This upgrade is technically significant due to Tassat’s Yield-in-Transit™ technology. In a high-interest-rate environment, the “dead time” during a standard 2-day settlement cycle (T+2) represents a significant opportunity cost. This technology allows capital to remain productive and earn interest even while it is in motion between counterparties. By utilizing Avalanche’s near-instant finality, Lynq ensures that “real-time” doesn’t just mean fast communication, but deterministic legal and financial finality within seconds, effectively turning post-trade settlement into a value-generating treasury function.

The Avalanche network is purpose-built for high-performance institutional workflows, providing the deterministic finality, low-latency execution, and horizontal scalability required to support Lynq’s real-time settlement and collateral operations. By deploying Lynq on a permissioned Avalanche L1, Tassat combines the advantages of public blockchain infrastructure with the governance, control, and compliance requirements demanded by regulated financial markets.
Lynq is the real-time settlement and collateral solution for digital asset capital markets, developed with Tassat’s patented Yield-in-Transit™ technology, and underpinned by the same platform technology that powered Signature Bank’s Signet network. The migration to Avalanche establishes a high-performance, purpose-built settlement environment optimized for institutional-grade requirements.
