Midnight Extends Glacier Drop Token Distribution Amid Strong Cross-chain Participation

Midnight TGE, the entity responsible for distributing NIGHT, Midnight Network’s native utility token, today announced a 16-day extension to the first phase of its multi-phase token distribution that has already seen over 2.7 Billion tokens claimed from users across blockchain’s most prominent ecosystems.

This extension follows recent compatibility upgrades, enabling eligible users additional time to take advantage of the enhanced support for hardware wallets, including Ledger and Trezor, and newly supported self-custody wallets, such as OKX Wallet’s announcement of support for Glacier Drop earlier this week.

Since launching on August 5, over 125,000 wallets across eight eligible ecosystems – including Cardano, Bitcoin, Solana, Ethereum, Ripple, Avalanche, Binance and Brave – have participated in the Glacier Drop Claim, demonstrating strong belief in Midnight’s vision of a fairer, digital future built on the foundations of rational privacy, cooperative economics and fairness.

More than 2.7 billion NIGHT tokens have been claimed by the community, with strong cross-chain engagement on display. The radically fair, multi-phase token distribution model is designed to promote inclusive access, bridging chains and communities through Midnight’s privacy-enhancing blockchain.

“The extension of the Glacier Drop reflects our belief that privacy-enhancing infrastructure should be inclusive and community-driven,” said Fahmi Syed, President of the Midnight Foundation, the organization dedicated to advancing the development, adoption, and real-world impact of the Midnight network. “Having brought further hardware and custodial wallet compatibility online in the last weeks, and with more partners to follow, we listened to the community and felt it was important to provide these users with more time to claim their NIGHT and participate in a new, fairer approach to token launches.”

Claiming process

Eligibility for the Glacier Drop was determined by a snapshot taken on June 11, 2025. Any eligible wallet that held at least $100 USD of ADA, BTC, ETH, SOL, BNB, XRP, AVAX, or BAT can now connect and claim their NIGHT allocation via the official Glacier Drop claim portal.

Participants can claim their allocation by:

  • Visiting claim.midnight.gd
  • Connecting a qualifying wallet
  • Following the secure, non-custodial claim process

Eligible users have until 14:00 BST on 20 October, 2025 to secure their participation in the future of the Midnight network.

What comes next
After the conclusion of Midnight’s first distribution phase, Glacier Drop, two additional phases will follow: Scavenger Mine, open to anyone, and Lost-and-Found, which enables those who missed the initial Glacier Drop window to claim a portion of their original allocation using self directed methods . Details of future phases will be published on midnight.gd as their release dates approach.
