KAST Partners with Pudgy Penguins to Launch IP-backed Stablecoin Card

WHY THIS MATTERS:

Stablecoins are steadily moving beyond trading and treasury use cases into consumer-facing financial products. As crypto-native infrastructure matures, the next frontier is everyday utility — payments, cards and neobank-style experiences that sit on blockchain rails but feel familiar to mainstream users. At the same time, Web3 brands are increasingly exploring how to translate digital communities and intellectual property into real-world engagement. By launching an IP-backed stablecoin card, KAST and Pudgy Penguins are testing whether crypto culture can evolve into functional financial products, blending digital identity with everyday spending across global payment networks.

KAST, the global financial platform built on stablecoin rails,  today announces a partnership with Pudgy Penguins to launch an IP-backed stablecoin card – a product that brings Web3 culture into everyday, real world spending.

In line with KAST’s existing card framework, the Pengu Card will be offered in Standard, Premium, and Luxe tiers. Each tier will follow the same pricing and rewards structure as all other KAST cards, ensuring consistency, simplicity, and fairness for users.

The launch marks the latest step in KAST’s mission to build a global neobank that puts users at the heart of its offering. Through the Pengu Card, KAST is deepening its connection with one of the most recognisable communities in Web3, offering a premium everyday product that reflects identity, culture, and belonging.

Priced affordably and designed for daily use, the Pengu Card also acts as a low friction entry point into the Pudgy Penguins ecosystem, making the community more accessible to a global audience.

The launch will begin with virtual cards, enabling fast global access from day one. Physical Pengu Cards are expected to follow in the coming months, alongside longer-term plans with additional features and experiences planned as the partnership evolves.

Raagulan Pathy, Founder & CEO at KAST, said: “Pudgy Penguins is one of the strongest consumer-native brands in crypto. With Pengu Card, we’re bringing that brand into everyday spending. Globally, at scale.”

Luca Netz, CEO & Owner at Pudgy Penguins, added: “Pengu Card is our first step into real-world finance. Partnering with KAST lets us offer our community something they can actually use, every day.”

FF NEWS TAKE:

This is a bet on culture as distribution. If Pengu Card succeeds, it will show that strong Web3 brands can drive real-world financial adoption, not just NFT engagement. The bigger play for KAST is proving that stablecoin-backed cards can scale globally while remaining simple and compliant. Expect more community-branded financial products as crypto-native identity and payments infrastructure continue to converge.
