Gemini Launch USD Rails for UK and EU Institutions
Gemini have shared that USD payment rails are now available for institutional customers in the UK and Switzerland through their banking partner, Bank Frick. In addition, this functionality will be available to institutional users in Gibraltar, Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man.
Institutions in these regions can now engage in cryptocurrency transactions directly in USD, furthering the versatility of our platform. They will now be able to deposit and withdraw in USD, as well as access more than 80+ different USD trading pairs. For a limited time, UK institutions will also be able to deposit and withdraw fiat funds using these USD rails without paying any additional fees**. Additionally, we’ll be making use of xPULSE: Bank Frick’s 23/7 payment service to enable frictionless banking rails, even outside of business hours, for deposits.
Gemini are also delighted to share that in a few weeks time, the same functionality will be extended to all their EU and EEA* institutional customers!
Bringing this new functionality to our platform in the UK was made possible by teaming up with Bank Frick. Founded in 1998 in Liechtenstein, Bank Frick is a world-famous provider of services such as fund administration, blockchain banking, and fund management.
