Allianz Turkiye Chooses Nettle to Lead the Future of AI-Powered Risk Engineering
Allianz Turkiye today announced it has selected the Nettle platform to power its commercial property risk engineering operations. The decision follows a pilot programme that demonstrated an up to threefold improvement in the speed at which Allianz Turkiye’s risk engineering team can complete property inspections and return structured outputs to underwriters.
The deployment addresses a longstanding operational challenge in commercial property insurance: risk engineers completing site visits faster than the downstream reporting process can keep up with. Backlogs build up, underwriters wait for data, and clients receive guidance later than the business needs. Nettle eliminates that bottleneck.
Using the Nettle mobile application, built and operating natively in Turkish, Allianz Turkiye’s risk engineers leverage agentic AI for preparation and then capture inspection data in the field through photographs, documents, and audio notes. The platform processes all inputs automatically and generates structured inspection reports, risk scores, and underwriter guidance on the same day as the site visit. There is no manual write-up, removing the delay between field and desk.
“When I first saw what was possible, my reaction was wow. Nettle is genuinely shaping the future of risk engineering. This is the future for the whole sector, not just Allianz Turkiye.” – Dr. Ceyhun Eren, Director of Allianz Teknik & Risk Engineering, Allianz Turkiye
Ceyhun Eren leads risk engineering at Allianz Turkiye, one of Turkiye’s largest and most established multi-line insurers and part of the global Allianz Group. His team operates across a commercial property portfolio spanning a wide range of asset classes and risk profiles. The Nettle platform will be rolled out across the full operation, with underwriters set to receive same-day structured inputs from field inspections for the first time.
Allianz Turkiye’s decision to deploy Nettle reflects more than a technology upgrade. The company has a long track record of leading risk prevention innovation in Turkiye. Allianz Teknik, established by Allianz Turkiye, is the first and only accredited earthquake and fire test and training centre in the country. That heritage of building infrastructure others follow shapes how the organisation approaches new technology: not as a fast follower, but as a pioneer.
For Nettle, that made Allianz Turkiye the right partner at the right moment.
“Allianz Turkiye does not just adopt innovation, they build it. Their establishment of Allianz Teknik, Turkiye’s first and only accredited earthquake and fire test and training centre, shows what it means to lead on risk prevention rather than follow. That spirit is exactly why this partnership has been so significant. Ceyhun and his team came to this with the expertise and the conviction to shape what AI-powered risk engineering should look like, at precisely the moment the industry needed someone to go first.” – Jack Miller, CEO and Co-Founder, Nettle
The Nettle platform works across the full commercial risk assessment workflow, from desktop submission through on-site inspection to underwriter decision. Allianz Turkiye’s commitment represents one of the most significant investments in AI-powered risk engineering in the market and a signal of where the broader industry is heading.
