Press Release: Vesta Integrates AI-Powered LOS with nCino to Automate Mortgage Workflows | Featured Image by FF News

Vesta has integrated its loan origination system (LOS) with nCino’s Mortgage Point of Sale (POS) solution to automate the mortgage lifecycle through the use of AI agents. For fintech professionals, this represents a significant shift toward "agentic" workflows, where bi-directional data synchronization aims to eliminate manual data entry and accelerate the timeline from application to funding.

What was announced

The integration connects Vesta’s LOS directly with nCino’s Mortgage POS, allowing for a seamless flow of documents and information throughout the loan lifecycle. The core of the offering is the use of AI agents that trigger the moment a borrower submits an application. These agents are designed to read documents, verify data, and automatically flag missing information by sending requests directly to the borrower via the nCino app. This bi-directional sync ensures that both systems remain updated in real-time, moving documents and requests back and forth as needed.

By automating these document-heavy tasks, the system aims to reduce the operational overhead typically associated with loan processing. Loan officers can use the nCino app to manage their pipelines, run automated underwriting (AUS), and generate pre-approval letters, while Vesta’s LOS handles the backend processing. This allows loan teams to open a file where much of the preliminary data verification and document collection is already complete. The solution is currently available to both new and existing nCino customers, targeting lenders who need to lower the cost of origination while maintaining high-touch borrower relationships and faster paths to closing.

"The second a borrower submits an application through nCino’s agentic workflow, Vesta's AI agents get to work processing the loan," said Mike Yu, Cofounder and CEO of Vesta. "Vesta’s agents read the documents and check the data. If something's missing, the borrower gets a request in the nCino app. When the loan team opens the file, most of the work is already done."

The companies involved

nCino (NASDAQ: NCNO) is a prominent provider of cloud banking solutions, offering a platform that digitizes and streamlines complex financial processes for institutions globally. The company has established a significant footprint in the mortgage sector, particularly through its Mortgage Point of Sale solution, which manages the borrower experience from initial inquiry through to closing. nCino’s platform is designed to integrate various banking functions into a single, cohesive workflow, often serving as the primary interface for both bank staff and their clients as they navigate lending and account opening.

Vesta is a modern loan origination system provider that focuses on reducing the friction in mortgage lending through deep automation. Vesta has positioned its technology as an AI-first solution capable of handling the repetitive, document-heavy tasks that traditionally slow down the lending process. The company emphasizes "agentic" AI, where software agents perform specific roles within the loan pipeline to assist human loan officers. Together, the two firms are targeting a market that is increasingly looking to replace fragmented, manual legacy systems with integrated, automated technology stacks.

What FF News has reported before

FF News has closely followed nCino’s expansion across the global financial services landscape. What this means

The mortgage industry is currently under intense pressure to lower the cost per loan, which has remained high due to regulatory complexity and manual overhead. This integration signals a shift from simple automation to "agentic" workflows, where AI doesn't just move data but actively interprets it. By allowing Vesta and nCino’s agents to collaborate, the partnership puts pressure on legacy LOS providers who rely on rigid, non-AI-native architectures. The success of this model will depend on the accuracy of these agents in high-stakes underwriting environments, but it clearly marks a transition where loan officers are expected to move away from data entry toward high-value judgment calls.
