Tazapay Joins Borderless Network to Scale Stablecoin Payouts Across APAC and LATAM
By Ali Paterson · 8 September 2026

Tazapay has integrated with Borderless.xyz, giving the latter's clients immediate access to local payment rails across nine major markets in the Asia Pacific and Latin America regions. For fintech professionals, this represents a significant consolidation of cross-border liquidity, replacing fragmented provider relationships with a single API connection that bridges traditional domestic banking rails and stablecoin settlement.
What was announced
Tazapay is now live on the Borderless global stablecoin orchestration and liquidity network. This integration allows Borderless clients to access nine additional markets—Singapore, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Australia in Asia Pacific, alongside Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia in Latin America—without the need for new sourcing cycles or individual contract negotiations. The system functions by utilizing local-rail payouts and collections to bypass the traditional correspondent banking system.
Through this single connection, payouts are delivered as local currency directly into a recipient's bank account via domestic transfer, significantly reducing the fees and delays typically associated with international wires. Conversely, the collection process utilizes virtual accounts with local details in jurisdictions including the UK, UAE, Singapore, and Australia. This setup allows businesses to manage international trade as if they were operating local entities in each domicile.
The Borderless network currently links over 19 locally licensed providers across more than 113 countries through its unified API. By adding Tazapay’s infrastructure, Borderless enables its enterprise and fintech clients to activate these new corridors through their existing routing. This eliminates the traditional friction of managing separate compliance files, settlement timelines, and provider relationships for every individual market a business enters.
"Expanding globally shouldn't mean navigating a fragmented payments landscape market by market. Through this partnership, Borderless clients get Tazapay's infrastructure, including local collection and payout rails, virtual accounts, and modern settlement options, through a single API. We've spent years building that depth across APAC, and putting it within reach of more businesses is what makes entering a new market genuinely simpler."

The companies involved
Borderless is a global stablecoin orchestration and liquidity network that provides a unified interface for moving value across borders. By connecting various licensed payment providers into a single API, the company aims to streamline the complexities of international liquidity and settlement. Its platform is designed to allow businesses to scale their payment operations without the overhead of maintaining multiple technical integrations or regulatory filings across different geographies.
Tazapay is a Singapore-headquartered fintech firm that holds a Major Payment Institution license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). This regulatory standing is a critical component of its value proposition, allowing it to facilitate high-volume cross-border transactions and manage local currency rails with institutional-grade oversight. The company has focused heavily on building deep infrastructure within the Asia Pacific region, specializing in local collections, payouts, and virtual account management.
The Monetary Authority of Singapore, which serves as the nation's central bank and financial regulator, provides the framework under which Tazapay operates. The MAS is widely recognized for its proactive approach to fintech regulation, particularly in creating structured environments for digital payment tokens and stablecoin frameworks, which has made Singapore a global hub for firms bridging traditional fiat and digital asset ecosystems.
What FF News has reported before
FF News has closely tracked the evolving regulatory and technological landscape in Singapore, particularly regarding the initiatives led by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. We recently covered how the MAS Consults on Legislative Amendments to Enforce Singapore Stablecoin Framework, a move designed to provide institutional clarity for digital asset orchestration. Furthermore, the regulator has shown significant financial commitment to the sector, as seen when the MAS Commits S$220M Under Renewed FSTI 4.0 Scheme to Boost Singapore FinTech. The intersection of traditional finance and stablecoins is a recurring theme; for instance, Visa and Nium Launch Stablecoin Settlement Pilot via MAS BLOOM Initiative highlights the growing trend of major players utilizing Singapore's infrastructure for modern settlement. Additionally, security remains a priority for regional institutional assets, as evidenced by the RFI and Safeheron Launch Post-Quantum Cryptography Pilot for Institutional Digital Assets.
What this means
This partnership signals a broader industry shift away from the "one market, one provider" model that has historically hampered global fintech expansion. By abstracting the complexity of local rails into a stablecoin orchestration layer, Borderless is putting direct pressure on traditional correspondent banks that rely on opaque fee structures and multi-day settlement times. The inclusion of Tazapay’s MAS-licensed infrastructure adds essential regulatory weight to the network, which is a prerequisite for enterprise-level adoption. The market is clearly moving toward a reality where "local" presence is a software configuration rather than a physical or legal hurdle. However, the long-term success of such networks remains dependent on the continued regulatory appetite for stablecoin-based settlement in emerging markets.
