Platform Veteran Geoff Towers Joins Platform One Board
Geoff Towers, the CEO of multiple platforms throughout his career, has joined the Platform One board as a non-executive director. The former CEO of BNY’s Pershing businesses in UK & Europe, Standard Life Savings, and GPP brings more than 40 years of platform, wealth and investment experience to Platform One. Towers is also currently a NED at wealth management and financial planning trade body, PIMFA. Platform one is a regulated wealthtech platform for advisers, wealth managers and fintechs, offering services including adviser-as-platform and API SIPPs. He joins a wealth of experience on the Platform One board, which includes former Ascentric and Cofunds chief Clive Boothman, as well as successful fintech entrepreneurs Felicia Meyerowitz-Singh and Phil Hollingdale who have exited Akoni and Cushon respectively. Platform One CEO Cowan-Sanluis and CTO David Cassettari also sit on the firm’s board. Towers said: “Platform One is uniquely placed to make big headway in the market. Having put in a lot of hard work building a robust proposition that can serve clients with smaller pots through to larger clients with complex tax and investment needs, it’s got massive potential to continue growing and serving different types of wealth businesses.” Platform One CEO Alex Cowan-Sanluis said: “Geoff brings a serious amount of platform experience. He knows exactly what it takes to be successful in this market. Having him on board is not only a big vote of confidence in our proposition and business, but he will be a fantastic source of expertise and knowledge as we grow our services and client base.”
