Charted Expands E-Invoicing Support Across Europe to Streamline ERP AP Workflows

Accounts payable automation provider Charted has expanded its e-invoicing capabilities across seven European markets, including Germany and France, to address the region's tightening regulatory mandates. For fintech professionals, this move highlights the growing necessity for ERP-native solutions that manage multi-country compliance and PEPPOL network connectivity without forcing users into external, fragmented software environments.

Charted has extended its e-invoicing support to Germany, France, Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Finland. This follows the initial launch of the service in Belgium in May 2026. The company also confirmed that Italy, Romania, and Poland will be added to the platform by the end of the current quarter. The solution is designed to facilitate transactions over the PEPPOL network and various country-specific networks while keeping the accounts payable process embedded directly within a company’s existing ERP system.

The e-invoicing tool functions as a capability within Charted Invoice AI. It allows financial teams to receive electronic invoices directly into a unified inbox, which also handles traditional PDF invoices. This consolidation ensures that AI-enabled OCR and automation workflows remain consistent regardless of the invoice format. Charted claims that new customers can be fully onboarded for the e-invoicing solution within one business day.

A significant focus of the expansion is the upcoming French mandate. Beginning September 1, 2026, all businesses in France must be able to receive e-invoices. While Charted is not listed as a direct Plateforme Agréée, the company stated its solution is built on an accredited platform to ensure compliance with French law. This ensures that users transacting on the PEPPOL network can remain compliant while maintaining their financial data within their primary ERP environment.
