At the FIX EMEA Trading Conference 2023, we caught up with Rajiv Shah, the Head of Sales for Sell-Side Solutions in EMEA at FlexTrade. FlexTrade is a global leader in high-performance multi-asset execution management and order management systems for equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, futures and options.

“I think primarily when you look at the sell side, it’s become an increasingly complex marketplace for sales-sides to manage. They have to deal with increased order flow because commissions are coming down. So, they obviously need to do more to maintain their revenues and handle the complexity of managing the data in the platform and how they manage different workflows”

“You’ve had lots of regulation coming in and commission rates are obviously coming down as I mentioned. So firms have to be able to cope with more volume in order to maintain revenues and those challenges are really difficult to do unless you have a system that helps you create efficiency and automate some of that.”
