Temenos: Co-Innovation and Intelligent Core Modernisation
As Chief Product & Technology Officer at Temenos, Barb Morgan leads an extensive portfolio covering product, technology, security, risk, product marketing and strategy — a role she sums up as “both playing with the toys and making the toys.” Morgan drives Temenos’ vision for safe, secure and resilient banking technology in the age of AI, focusing not only on what the company builds for its clients but how it builds with them.
Morgan is a strong supporter of continuous development associated with Progressive Core Modernisation and works with many banks providing guidance to decompose their legacy models (monolithic legacy systems) in a structured way using modular service solutions (also known as ‘Payments’, ‘Lending’, and ‘Onboarding’). Temenos’ cloud-native architecture supported by orchestration has allowed banks to develop through incremental phases, lowering their overall risk and allowing banks to maintain governance and transparency through their transformation.
Morgan is also the driving force behind Temenos’ expanding co-innovation ecosystem, including the company’s design partner programme, now engaging more than a dozen global banks. This collaborative approach has already produced high-impact solutions such as the TPM Co-Pilot and FCM AI Agent, helping institutions accelerate product creation, reduce false positives, and adopt AI safely and responsibly.
With a focus on intelligent reliability and continuous innovation, Barb Morgan is shaping the future of modern banking technology — empowering institutions to embrace AI securely, scale confidently and strengthen the trust that underpins every customer relationship.
