We’re joined by Ben Janse van Rensburg, interim CIO of BankservAfrica, who talks to us about the evolving real time payments landscape and the work they’re doing in Africa.

Coming from Sibos 2023 in Toronto we hear how the challenges around instant payments don’t come from a lack of technology but rather the regulatory hurdles in different territories and the ever present threat of fraud and money laundering. Janse van Rensburg also talks about opening up new payment rails in the region and the opportunities they’re hoping this will open up.
