In Amsterdam for Money20/20 Europe 2023, we caught up with David Larsson, CEO of Sileon. Sileon is a fintech company based in Stockholm, Sweden, They offer a high-capacity, API-based BNPL SaaS product that helps to support card-based businesses.

“BNPL has been growing dramatically over the last 10 years, and the market we come from in the Nordics even longer than that. It’s taking market share from most payment methods actually, credit cards the most. So, existing card issuers now have a possibility to enter the BNPL space really quickly using our services and actually cut through the complexity of the whole checkout or point of sale experience.”

“We view BNPL as the next wave of digitalization of consumer credit. It is consumer-driven, whether you like it or now. The consumer loves it and it’s gonna be there, so you better be in the game and actually up your game as a card issuer to stay relevant.”
