We speak to Lee McNabb from NatWest at Fintech Connect 2023 to get an insight into their focus on payments and Open Banking. McNabb, who is Head of Group Payment Strategy, gives his perspective on the balance between innovation and regulation, pointing out that regulation should entail progress.
We also get his thoughts on the recent Future of Payments Review, that NatWest were involved in and what they found, as well as their approach to Open Banking innovation. There’s customer focus at the heart and he’s keen that the technology and mandate goes further in the year ahead.
