PT. Asuransi Kredit Indonesia or Askrindo is one of the State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) which is engaged in insurance/guarantee, cannot be separated from the economic development of the Nation and the Republic of Indonesia. Since the government drafted and stipulated REPELITA I in 1969, one of the main targets of the plan has been to equalize development results in the fields of business opportunities, people’s incomes and at the same time stimulate job growth. In order to achieve this target, the government takes concrete steps, among others, by developing small and medium-sized enterprises by overcoming one of the important business aspects, namely the financing aspect. Established on April 6, 1971 based on Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1/1971 dated January 11, 1971, to carry out the mission of empowering Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to support Indonesia’s economic growth. The role of Askrindo in empowering MSMEs is as a guarantee institution for loans extended by banks to MSMEs. On March 31, 2020 based on the Decree of the Minister of SOEs, PT Askrindo merged with the Holding BUMN insurance and guarantee, Indonesia Financial Group (IFG).
