Canva Partners With Boku to Roll Out New Local Payment Methods for Customers Across Global Regions

Boku, the global network for localized payment solutions, and Canva, the world’s leading all-in-one visual communication platform, have today announced a strategic partnership to help expand Canva’s reach in Asia as well as plans to expand across Europe. This collaboration will enable millions of people to more easily access Canva’s creative tools through innovative, localized payment solutions – an alternative to traditional card linked payments.

Boku Deepens LATAM Commitment, Readies Merchants for Brazil’s Digital Payments Revolution via Pix

Boku, a global leader in localised payment solutions, has been granted a Payment Institution license by the Central Bank of Brazil (BCB). This authorisation enables Boku to operate as a Payment Initiator and E-money Issuer, positioning the company to participate in Brazil’s evolving Open Finance ecosystem as a Payment Initiator Service Provider (PISP)—a key step toward enabling seamless Pix payments without redirection (JSR). With this licence, Boku is on track to make Pix Automático available to merchants in early 2026.
